Rigid bronchoscopy is the traditional method of diagnosis and management of foreign body (FB) aspiration in children. In optimized clinical settings, flexible bronchoscopy can be considered a feasible procedure for the removal of airway FBs using a laryngeal mask airway as a conduit in children.
FB in adults is not rare in adults and, even if there are no clinical or radiological findings, a bronchoscopy should always be performed.
