LEFT DIAPHRAGM RUPTURE MESHPLASTY

The patient’s story:
18 year old young woman patient.  There have been complaints of increased shortness of breath, chest and back pain and rapid fatigue for the last 1 year.  In the lung films and tomography, it was determined that the intra-abdominal organs (stomach, spleen, small intestines, sigmoid colon) filled the left lung cavity.  The intra-abdominal organs in the lung cavity were pulled into their normal anatomical positions with a nice surgery performed with general surgery.  Then, the 10×10 cm defect on the left diaphragm was repaired with 12×12 cm ‘Dual mesh’ by stitching it with solid insoluble threats (dual MESHPLASTY).  Finally, the surgical incisions on both the abdomen and the left chest wall were sutured and closed, and the operation was successfully completed by transferring to the recovery room. The patient was discharged with complete health after 1 week of follow-up.  She was discharged to home to come bacı 10 days later for control.
